Earth Hour: March 28th
Join me in observing Earth Hour next Saturday, March 28th from 8:30pm - 9:30pm. We're planning on having a candlelight dessert & telling stories. Would love to hear what you did.
OH fantastic post! I've just spent near an hour looking at various video and snippets to share with others on my three other blog sites. Thank you for sharing this. I plan to partake in this. Not only that, but I hope to bring it to the attention of all the families that attend the private school where I teach. That's near 300 families. I'm so excited about this. Again, thank you for posting this! ta, Bairbre Aine
The kids & I had Earth Hour this past Saturday. I told them we were going to have 1 day free of electricity each week. So I lit all the candles (one of the cats burned her wiskers...twice!) and we cooked and ate dinner by candelite then played some games and went to bed early. It was actually quite nice. I'll be doing that again this coming Saturday.
The kids & I just had our own Earth Hour this past Saturday. I told them that once each week I want to have an electricity free day (well, as electricity free as we can get as our stove and heat are electric). So I lit a bunch of candles and we cooked and ate dinner by candlelite then played some games. We all went to be early - the benefit of not having lights inside that shine as bright as daylight! We'll be doing this again this coming Saturday! :D
